US MEGA Hubs 30th April – 11th (12th) May 2026 - just a few places left
The Aviation Society are delighted to announce an 11 night (12 day) trip to the USA taking in the world’s busiest airport, Atlanta, whilst staying in the famous Renaissance Hotel for 3 nights followed by 3 nights in the renowned Hilton Hotel at Chicago O’Hare with our final stop being the aviation mecca that is Miami and Southern Florida, where our accommodation for the 5 nights will be at the Homewood Suites, Blue Lagoon just a short walk away from the 94th Aero Squadron restaurant. Accommodation will be on a B&B basis with the exception of the Renaissance Hotel, where travelling members will receive a $20ppn contribution for their breakfast.
We depart Manchester with Virgin Atlantic from Terminal 2 at 11.00am on Thursday 30th April for our direct flight to Atlanta (arriving at 15.20hrs local) before heading to Chicago on Sunday 3rd May with Delta Airlines. Our flight to Miami (via Atlanta) on Wednesday 6th May will again be with Delta Airlines after which, on Monday 11th May, we will drive from Miami to Orlando allowing time for some final spotting before our 21.20hrs direct flight back to Manchester with Virgin Atlantic (arriving Tuesday 12th May at 10.30 local).
The price of this 11 night trip is just £2849 which includes all flights, accommodation (on a bed & breakfast basis / breakfast contribution and 2 persons sharing), car hire (in Miami) and local taxes. Parking fees and fuel during our stay in Miami will be the responsibility of vehicle occupants whilst TAS will cover any fuel costs from Miami to Orlando for our return journey. Single room occupancy will require a supplement in the region of £1100 and this must be requested at the time of booking. Places on this trip are strictly limited to TAS members and their immediate family.
Booking – members wishing to secure a place on this trip can do so in one of 2 ways:- either by sending a cheque for the non-refundable deposit of £500 made payable to “The Aviation Society” to the address below, please include your TAS membership number, email address and telephone number for confirmation. Please also enclose an SAE. Alternatively, please send an email to john_wood11@sky.com (with similar details) requesting a place on the trip. TAS bank details will be given once your place is confirmed so a bank transfer for £500 can be made. All of this information is essential to your application and places cannot be reserved in any other way. Members are advised that good mobility is essential for this trip and as a result of legislative requirements the Society and its representatives are unable to provide physical assistance during this tour.
